La Culotte Parisienne La Culotte Parisienne is a French brand specializing in menstrual panties. Its aim is to break the taboo of menstruation by offering a healthy, eco-responsible alternative: menstrual lingerie. Ethan Dahan, the brand's founder, grew up in the heart of Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement. It was between his uncle's dressmaking workshop and the St Pierre market that he discovered his passion for fabrics. During a family vacation, Ethan Dahan's little sister asks him to go shopping for sanitary pads. It was at this point that he realized that menstruation was taboo and a source of embarrassment for women. In store, faced with the huge range of protection products on offer, he also understands the ecological implications of disposable protection. This inspired her to change women's lives by adding her love of textiles. La Culotte Parisienne will be launched in 2019. The brand expanded rapidly and now offers 10 models and 4 different flows. The La Culotte Parisienne brand at Mademoiselle bio There are many reasons why La Culotte Parisienne is present at Mademoiselle bio. Initially, the menstrual pants are made in France, in the heart of Montmartre. They are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. It is sourced in South Africa and dyed and woven in Portugal. The cotton is then cut and assembled into knickers in the brand's Paris workshop. The brand has been awarded the "Fabriqué à Paris" label. The brand favors short circuits to control the manufacturing process and environmental impact. Secondly, washable and reusable panties enable you to dramatically reduce the waste produced by disposable sanitary pads. A pair of panties absorbs flow and odors for 8 hours, the equivalent of 3 to 4 tampons or pads. What's more, fabric offcuts are recycled to make washable make-up remover pads, to limit textile waste! Finally, to keep their carbon footprint to a minimum, La Culotte Parisienne uses recyclable, plastic-free packaging for their panties. The different models La Culotte Parisienne La Culotte Parisienne knickers are named after women dear to the founder's heart. For example, the Suzanne model pays homage to his great-grandmother, while the Amelie panties are named after Ethan's mother. All knickers are made from cotton, pulp, hemp and tencel. They do not contain nanoparticles to respect the body and the planet. They are also certified by Oeko-tex, which guarantees that the knickers contain no chemicals. So there's no risk of irritation for sensitive skin, and no toxic shocks. They provide comfort and an effective barrier against flow, persistent odors and humidity for up to 12 hours. There are 10 models and 4 different fluxes (light flux to ultra + flux). This allows every woman to find the model that suits her needs. As for the knickers available at Mademoiselle bio, the Amélie model is the most classic. It's a simple cut that's ultra-absorbent! Ideal for use after childbirth, during menstruation or for bladder weakness, it protects against moisture for up to 12 hours. The Simone shorty is also ultra-absorbent and suitable for heavy flows. The shorty shape is perfect for athletes. It provides better coverage and minimizes the risk of leaks. Its pretty lace band gives it a sophisticated edge. Finally, the Yvonne panty is the most absorbent of all. It provides maximum protection for even the heaviest flows! The cut is classic, close to the Amélie model. However, it has a long protective barrier on the back of the panty for optimum serenity. Menstrual pants last between 2 and 3 years. It is important to clean them thoroughly after each use to preserve their effectiveness. Once worn, the panties should be rinsed in cold water until the water runs clear. Next, place the panties in the washing machine at low temperature (40° maximum) using a hypoallergenic detergent. Once clean, you can air-dry your panties: don't use a tumble dryer, radiator or iron.
